OPINIONS
Wonderful book..... keeping in view the adage' Ignorantia legis neminem excusat' (ignorance of the law is no excuse).....
With his vast experience for over 50 years as lawyer and as a renowned judicial officer, the learned author, who mastered almost all the subjects in law, gives an insight of the various branches of law to the readers in a simple language in 75 selected topics, divided into 16 parts.....
This book, which contains a gist of all the essential laws, is written in a simple and understandable language and would help laymen to know what are all the important laws in vogue in this country.
I have no hesitation to say that this book will serve the purpose intended to be achieved by the learned author and would soon become very popular.
SRI JUSTICE C.Y. SOMAYAJULU
Judge, High Court of Andhra Pradesh
The genesis, the structure, the object as well as the procedure of the relevant Acts are highlighted. The treatment, the analysis and expounding the relevant branches of law are rather crisp, simple clear and erudite.
The author has spared no pains to explain and expound sound propositions of law and solutions offered to several problems. I unreservedly and profusely admire him, who dared to conceive such a stupendous task to bring out a hand book like this, covering most of the legal aspects, a common man may be confronted with in his day to day life.
SRI JUSTICE P.RAMAKRISHNAM RAJU
Judge High Court of A.P (Retd.)
The 'law' is covered by mysterious expressions and complex sentences. It is difficult even for an English knowing person to decipher and understand the meaning and application of complex legal expressions. The need to demystify law and simplify the enactments is very high.
It is not easy to scan hundreds of legislations, scores of judgments, plethora of books to bring out 'simple' but 'essential' aspects of the 'ocean' of law covering 75 topics for the benefit of common man. After reading this book every person will understand his rights and duties, law and procedure and courts and justice. The judge turned author covered latest trends of law such as right to information law, new insurance law, SEBI ombudsman, ADR etc.
The book 'Layman's Guide to Law' will enlighten and empower the people.
